With a professional background in corporate HR and risk management, Barsha identified early challenges in the background verification ecosystem—particularly around process inconsistency, delayed verification cycles, and limited audit defensibility. Pietos was founded in 2015 to address these gaps through structured, process-led, and compliance-oriented verification frameworks.
Under her leadership, Pietos has evolved from a founder-led initiative into a mature background verification organisation trusted by employers and staffing companies across India. The company’s focus has consistently remained on reliability, transparency, and scalability, rather than transactional verification.
